Our Humble Beginnings

Luther Stem Pools & Spas traces its roots back to the 1940s, when Luther N. Stem, Sr., founded Luther Stem Trucking. In 1951, his son, Luther Stem, Jr., took over the family business, carrying forward the values of hard work and integrity. In 1962, he built his first swimming pool in his own backyard. Before long, friends and neighbors began asking him to build pools for them, and what started as a single backyard project soon grew into the company we know today.

For more than 60 years, Luther Stem Pools & Spas has earned a reputation as one of the region's premier custom concrete pool builders. Along the way, we've earned eight national awards for workmanship and design, numerous Aqua 100 Awards, and multiple Best of the Best in the River Valley awards—recognition that reflects the care, attention to detail, and pride that go into every project we build.

A Growing Family Business

As we proudly enter our third generation, the Stem family remains dedicated to carrying on the vision Luther established more than six decades ago. Equally important are the dedicated employees who have helped shape our company's success over the years. Many of our team members have been with us for decades, becoming more than employees—they've become family. Together, our construction crews, service department, showroom staff, and office team continue to build on the values that have guided our company from the beginning while providing the personal service our customers have come to rely on.

Today, Luther Stem Pools & Spas proudly serves families throughout the Arkansas River Valley, Northwest Arkansas, and Eastern Oklahoma. We design and build custom concrete swimming pools while also providing professional pool service, water testing, chemicals, hot tubs, and expert support through our retail showroom. Our commercial concrete pumping division also serves contractors throughout the region with dependable equipment, experienced operators, and the same level of professionalism our customers have trusted for generations.
